Directions to The Chapin Estate
The Chapin Estate is located in The Catskill Mountains of Sullivan County, New York. From Midtown Manhattan it is less than two hours by car to reach this remarkable place.
The Chapin Estate is also easily accessible by: private plane to the Sullivan County International Airport in nearby White Lake; rail service, which comes within 20 minutes of Bethel; or through Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, NY.

 From New York City
- Take the George Washington Bridge (Upper Level) to the Palisades Parkway
- Stay on Palisades Parkway to Exit 9W/Albany (not RT 9W)
- Merge onto NY State Thruway (Interstate 87) and stay on until Exit 16 (Harriman/Woodbury Commons)
- Bear left at toll booths onto RT. 17 West
- Stay on RT. 17 West for approximately 45 minutes to exit 104 (RT. 17B West/Monticello Raceway)
- Keep left on exit ramp onto RT. 17B West
- Stay on RT. 17B West for approximately 8 miles to RT. 55 West (some signs say RT. 55 South)
- Take left onto RT. 55 West (South) (McKean Realty at corner)
- Follow RT. 55 West (South) 1.7 miles, turn left to the Gate House for The Chapin Estate
- Stay to the right of main wrought iron gate
From Central New Jersey:
- Garden State Parkway North to end or Rt. 17 North to NY Thruway
- Exit onto NY Thruway (Interstate 87) North (towards Albany)
- Take NY Thruway to Exit 16 (Harriman/Woodbury Commons)
- Bear left at toll booths onto RT. 17 West
- Stay on RT. 17 West for approximately 45 minutes to exit 104 (RT. 17B West/Monticello Raceway)
- Keep left on exit ramp onto RT. 17B West
- Stay on RT. 17B West for approximately 8 miles to RT. 55 West (some signs say RT. 55 South)
- Take left onto RT. 55 West (South) (McKean Realty at corner)
- Follow RT. 55 West (South) 1.7 miles, turn left to the Gate House for The Chapin Estate
- Stay to the right of main wrought iron gate
Alternate Directions from New Jersey:
- Take New Jersey Turnpike North to Interstate 80 West
- Exit Interstate 80 West onto RT. 17 North
- Follow RT. 17 North to NY Thruway (Interstate 87) North (towards Albany)
- Take NY Thruway to Exit 16 (Harriman/Woodbury Commons)
- Bear left at toll booths onto RT. 17 West
- Stay on RT. 17 West for approximately 45 minutes to exit 104 (RT. 17B West/Monticello Raceway)
- Keep left on exit ramp onto RT. 17B West
- Stay on RT. 17B West for approximately 8 miles to RT. 55 West (some signs say RT. 55 South)
- Take left onto RT. 55 West (South) (McKean Realty at corner)
- Follow RT. 55 West (South) 1.7 miles, turn left to the Gate House for The Chapin Estate
- Stay to the right of main wrought iron gate
Directions from Stewart International Airport:
- Travel South on 1st Street toward Circulation Drive. Turn right onto Circulation Drive. Circulation Drive becomes Breunig Road.
- From Breunig Road after approximately 1 mile turn left onto Little Britain Road (NY Route 207).
- After 1.4 miles make a left onto Union Avenue (NY Route 300).
- Turn left onto NY 17K W after 2.5 miles and then merge onto I-84 W via the ramp on the left toward Middletown.
- After approximately 15 miles merge onto NY-17 W via Exit 4W toward Binghamton.
- Stay on RT. 17 West for approximately 27 miles to exit 104 (RT. 17B West/Monticello Raceway)
- Keep left on exit ramp onto RT. 17B West
- Stay on RT. 17B West for approximately 8 miles to RT. 55 West (some signs say RT. 55 South)
- Take left onto RT. 55 West (South) (McKean? Realty at corner)
- Follow RT. 55 West (South) 1.7 miles, turn left to the Gate House for The Chapin Estate
- Stay to the right of main wrought iron gate
